The end of summer is a time of transition out of vacation and back to a life that feels more serious and structured and we often start losing track of time with our back to busier work schedules for self care. But self care doesn’t always have to mean a 3 day long weekend or even an entire day unplugged, here are 5 quick and effortless self care hacks that’ll warm you right up in time for Fall.
1. BREATHE – But you know, better.
Meditation apps like Headspace, Calm, and 10% Happier now offer guided sessions for meditators of all stages and sessions are even as short as 5 minutes for when you’re really crammed with a new class schedule or work commute.
2. TREAT YOURSELF IN THE MORNING – Pour Yourself A Warm Cup
This is why we love Fall themed spices like pumpkin, hazelnut and cinnamon! Warm up the chillier mornings while also saving time and funds by making your favorite fall themed drinks at home. We love this CBD Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe by Grateful. Don’t forget to drop a few drops of our CBD Drink Drops for a boost of wellness in each cup
3. MOVE – Even if it’s 5 minutes of Legs Up On The Wall.Â
5 minutes is the perfect amount of time to practice this yoga pose. Take a look at ‘Legs up the wall‘ from Yoga Instructor Adriene. She says ‘This posture improves circulation and can provide instant relief for the lower back, legs and feet. Relieve tension, kick your feet up and deepen your breath.
4. GO OUTSIDE – Embrace the seasons changingÂ
Just a few minutes of time outside makes a real difference for our clarity, immune system and over all mood. Bonus points for the dog parents out there, they’re killing two birds with one stone with this one!
5. TIDY UP – Hear us with this one!!
Taking just 5 minutes to clear off your work or study space makes a world of difference. Studies have shown that tidying up is great for the physical space in the room but also allows up to reorganize and reprioritized any mental clutter or confusion that may be linked to the mess! Start small like your desk or that chair collecting all our day of sweaters and papers and feel the difference for yourself.
