Cooking with Cannabis

Ever since the legalization of cannabis, our relationship with the plant continues to grow and flourish — our marijuana can now sit next to other cooking supplies and accoutrements. Now you can decide to make cannabis snacks and get baked with your friends or do whatever else tickles your fancy.

For the most part, cannabis recipes require a particular amount of cannabutter or canna-oil — these are typically used in place of standard butter and oil. The good thing is, you can buy pot-infused butter and oils at dispensaries or simply make your own!

Now, if you’re looking to get the psychoactive effects of cannabis when consuming it, you need to heat it up. Why? Well, it’s only because the effects won’t work if you eat the weed without proper preparation. Moreover, the digestive system cannot digest THC directly, and that’s the stuff that gets you high.

Note: It’s critical to use fat when cooking with marijuana primarily because THC is fat soluble and not the other way around.

So, are you looking for some cool cannabis-infused recipes for your tastebuds? Well, here are a few tasty recipes to consider:

1. Strawberry Canna-Muffins

Now, we know you love marijuana, but how about combining it with strawberries and muffins? Strawberry Canna-Muffins are sure to give your morning snack a significant boost that’s guaranteed to brighten your day. The best part? It’s an easy recipe.

• One cup of flour

• Two teaspoons of baking powder

• 1/2 cup of quick oats

• 1/4 cup of sugar

• 1/4 cup of canna-butter

• 1/2 teaspoon of salt

• One cup of milk

• One large egg

• One cup of fresh strawberries


• Get a large mixing bowl and mix the oats, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in the same.

• Now use a smaller bowl to mix the egg, canna-butter, and milk.

• Create a crater in the large bowl and pour in the liquid mix of egg, canna-butter and milk into it.

• Now stir it up until it’s lumpy, not smooth.

• Get the strawberries insert them deep into the mixture.

• Now pour the mixture into a muffin tin. Use muffin liners to create room for each muffin tin to rise. Be sure that your mix fills up to 75% of the capacity of the liners.

• Place the mixture into an oven which has been preheated to 380F-400F and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

• Now allow it to cool on a wire rack and then eat up!

2. Cannabis Pancakes — CannaCakes

What could be better than eating dope sunny golden-brown pancakes? These CannaCakes are the perfect indulgence to fire you up for the day ahead. They’re sure that make an excellent snack for the morning or any time of the day!



• One large egg

• Two tablespoons of canna-butter or canna-oil

• 1 1/4 cups milk

• 1 1/4 cups flour

• Two teaspoons of sugar

• Two teaspoons of baking powder

• 1/4 teaspoon of salt


• Get the egg, milk, and oil and mix in a large bowl.

• Now mix the dry ingredients and add to the egg mixture. Be sure to beat until smooth.

• Prepare a greased frying pan for each pancake — be sure to pour 1/3 cup of batter into the pan.

• You can flip the pancakes when bubbles start appearing on them.

• Enjoy!

3. Triple Baked Cannabis Potatoes

• Four large potatoes

• Four tablespoons of light brown sugar

• 1/4 cup of canna-butter

• 1/4 cup sour cream

• Salt and pepper

• Cheese (optional topping)

• Scallions (optional topping)

• Bacon bits (optional topping)


• For starters, preheat the oven to 375 degrees

• Get the potatoes and place them on a baking sheet and leave to bake until soft.

• Remove the potatoes from the oven and leave to cool.

• Now cut off the head of each potato, lengthwise.

• Scoop out the insides while making sure the skin maintains its shape.

• Now mix the scooped potato, canna-butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.

• Stuff the mixture back into the potato skins and bake in the oven for up to ten minutes.

• You can add any of the toppings as desired and enjoy.

4. Vegetable Weed Lasagna

Love the taste of lasagna? Well, who doesn’t? Now you can add some weed into the mix to make it awesome. One thing about this recipe is that it doesn’t use cannabutter or cannaoil — it uses the ground trim. The best part? It’s as tasty as other cannabis recipes on the list! Let’s check it out!

• One ounce of Decarboxylated medical marijuana

• 20 ounces of frozen spinach

• Two cloves of minced garlic

• One can of tomato sauce

• One cup of grated Parmesan cheese

• 16 ounces of ricotta cheese

• One ounce of mozzarella cheese

• One egg

• 12 lasagna noodles (oven ready)

• Salt and pepper to taste


• Start by preheating the oven to 350°F

• Now get a large bowl and put the egg, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, spinach and half the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix everything until they’re properly combined.

• Get a 13 x 9 glass baking dish and spread the tomato sauce in the bottom — 3/4 cup should do.

• It’s time to begin the construction of the lasagna. For starters, place up to three of the oven-ready lasagna noodles on top of the tomato sauce. Once you’re done, you can proceed to add another 3/4 cup of tomato sauce on top of the second layer of lasagna noodles. Now you can add a cup of the cheese mixture and then add mozzarella cheese on top of it.

• Create two extra layers using the same order as mentioned above.

• Now sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on the last layer. Go ahead to cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place in the oven.

• Bake for approximately 40 minutes. Be sure to take off the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until the top layer gets brown.

• It’s all done — just remove the vegetable weed lasagna from the oven and leave to cool before slicing.

5. Honey Chocolate Brownies

• One cup of melted canna-butter or canna-oil

• Four eggs

• One cup of honey

• 1/2 cup of melted unsweetened cocoa powder or chocolate

• Two teaspoons of vanilla

• Two teaspoons of baking powder

• Two cups of unbleached white flour

• One cup of chopped nuts

• One cup raisins

• 1/2 teaspoon of salt


• Preheat the oven to 350°F

• Now whip the chocolate, canna-butter, honey, and cocoa until smooth. Be sure to add eggs and vanilla, and mix properly.

• Add the flour and baking powder into the mix and stir until dampened. Add the nuts and raisins and mix well.

• Now pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for about 45 minutes.

• Enjoy!
